Our Simple Process for Getting Custom Cabinets You Love

Our thorough process keeps new build or renovation projects on time and on budget. Our commitment to you is that you’ll have full visibility into the budget and schedule throughout the process. Midtown Cabinetry & Millwork will partner with you to select materials, determine style and choose finishes that help realize your vision for semi-custom or custom cabinets.

Step 1

Initial Consultation

In our first meeting, we’ll discuss design, budget, and timeline. Ideally, you’ll be able to visit our Memphis custom cabinet showroom which has everything you need to get started with custom cabinetry.

You will be able to ask questions and learn more about our process.
You will explore factory line options and custom cabinet options, finding a cabinet line that best suits your budget and taste.
We will schedule an on-site visit to take measurements.

Step 2

Preliminary Proposals

We’ll provide an initial estimated cost of the cabinetry (furnished and installed) that is based on the initial design features and site measurements.

If you need renderings and detailed design plans, they are available for purchase. Designs include detailed notes and measurements.

Step 3

Design and Product Selection

Once your deposit is placed, it’s time to make final design decisions so you’ll get cabinets you love.

We’ll help you finalize any design changes and selections.
Once selections are finalized and the deposit is placed, we’ll provide you with an updated project total.
You’ll sign off on the proposal and shop drawings.

Step 4

Cabinet Order

We handle all of the details and order cabinets through a variety of cabinet manufacturers. We carefully prepare orders and pay attention to every detail so your order is right the first time.

Before placing the order, we double-check check the order to insure that everything is correct.
Once we submit your order to the cabinet manufacturer, we’ll confirm the estimated delivery date with you.
We’ll proactively keep you updated if the manufacturer changes the timeline.

Step 5

Delivery and Installation

Our professional installation team is skilled and detail-oriented, taking pride in craftsmanship and service.

Prior to installation, we’ll visit your site to verify that it’s ready for cabinetry install.
Installation begins and your vision comes to life in your space!
Once we begin installation, 90% of the total balance is billed.

Step 6

Final Touches

After installation, we make sure that you’re fully satisfied with the final product.

Once the cabinets have had time to settle, we’ll adjust drawers and doors so they’re aligned and operate properly.
After installation, we’ll perform a walkthrough with you to generate a punch list.
We’ll give you a timeline for when you can expect punch list items to be completed.
The final 10% is billed upon completion of the punch list items.
